One of the responsibilities of the Research Committee is to oversee the evaluation of submissions for research grants.

The AWHONN Canada Small Grants Programme is designed for novice nurse researchers applying for new project funding. The purpose of the funding is to:

1. Provide seed money
2. Pilot funding or
3. Total funding

for small projects with promise of a significant contribution to nursing knowledge in clinical practice.

The Research Committee is also responsible to identify research opportunities for the membership.
